We are so excited to bring more kids out in the woods and to support nature education! When public schools are closed, we offer Community Camp Days where all youth are invited to join us for themed days full of crafts, games, and exploration. We have three juicy Community Camp Days this autumn:
On Thursday, Oct 31, we will celebrate Halloween with crafts, costumes, theater, storytelling, pumpkin-carving, honoring our ancestors, and learning about the seasonal changes around us;
On Friday, Nov 1, we will recover from Halloween with some fun, soulful time in the woods. We'll learn about fire and safe fire-tending, enjoy fireside cooking, and some autumn crafts;
and on Friday, Nov 15, we'll learn about the Honorable Harvest and the practice of giving thanks. We'll learn about how the beings of the forest and farm prepare for Winter, and we'll enjoy our own Thanksgiving harvest feast.
Sign up now as space is limited.
