Coming up! Community Meeting + True/Folk + Camp Day! Woohoo!

We wanted to take a moment to let you know about some beautiful offerings coming up...

Coming up is the extra-special Camp True/Folk a weekend forest adventure and campout for kids during the True/False Film Fest! Then, on March 11th, we welcome all kids to our next awesome Community Camp Day! More info below and on our website about our youth programs.

But first... please join us for a Community Meeting about the Future of Wild Folk! Wednesday, February 26th, 5-6:30pm @ Cafe Berlin

As you may have heard, Wild Folk finds itself at a daunting and exciting crossroads: our current staff is looking to pursue other adventures starting this summer, so Sara, Chaz, and Polina will no longer be leading the charge. Each of us is excited to pursue our hearts' other callings, but it is very bittersweet to step aside from this soulful project that has been so dear to our hearts, and has been so meaningful to so many people.

Over the past five years, Wild Folk has built up a beautiful community, a ton of good will, a successful forest school, an inspired pedagogy; and we are proud to be a beacon of hope and possibility, striving everyday to show that another way is possible. Now we face the big questions of WHAT IS NEXT? What is the future of all this work? What does our community want and need now? Who is excited to work on this project and what new visions will they nurture?

We invite you to join us to collectively reflect on our work, and to boldly scheme about Wild Folk's future. Please consider joining us for a sweet, community gathering to discuss ecological, alternative, place-based, experimental, wilderness, and democratic education. All are welcome!

Join other concerned citizens, parents, educators, agitators, and curious folks to reflect on 5 years of Wild Folk, and to plant seeds for the future. Come to share your hopes and fears about ecological education, and to find allies and accomplices for creating hands-on, peaceful, and sustainable learning for our community! All are welcome - no experience necessary. (Please note: Cafe Berlin will not be open or serving food).
